Clark Campbell - AuthorClark Campbell left the DuPont Chemical Company to join O. C. Tanner in 1979. O. C. Tanner is a privately held 2,000-person company headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Tanner Company is North America’s leading employee recognition company, serving over 8,000 client companies including 35 percent of the Fortune 500. The Company generates annual revenues exceeding $300 million by providing recognition awards, services and consulting. Tanner supplied the medals for the 2002 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

The corporate capacities Clark has served include: Assistant to the President, Director of Corporate Planning, Vice President for Quality, Senior Vice President for Corporate Development and is currently Senior Vice President, Administration. His responsibilities have included: Project Management, Information Systems, Quality, Purchasing, Warehousing, Planning, Financial Analysis, Corporate Negotiation, and Pricing. Clark managed the design and construction of Tanner’s state-of-the-art Automated Distribution Center and the successful pursuit and receipt of both the prestigious Shingo Prize, and ISO 9000 Certification. He also directed O. C. Tanner’s implementation of SAP and Trilogy software that were applied to the manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, client relations, sales and financial processes of the Company. Clark launched Tanner’s e-commerce business initiative for performance recognition. He lead the project to reengineer Tanner’s Accounts Receivable process, freed over $20 million and reduced days-outstanding by more than 25 days. Most recently, he has directed the successful project to launch training and consulting businesses in China.

Clark graduated from the University of Utah, where he earned a BS in Chemical Engineering and an MBA, and was an intercollegiate athlete and President of the student body. He has taught at the University of Delaware and Salt Lake City’s Westminster College, and served on the Alumni Board of the University of Utah and the Shingo Prize Board of Governors.

Clark and his wife Meredith (violinist and recording artist) are the parents of seven children and six grandchildren, and live in Salt Lake City.
